BIO

Introduced to the guitar at age 10, Luan Meaker quickly became obsessed with music, learning to replicate the iconic 80’s tracks on repeat at home. He went on to study songwriting and music production at the University of Auckland, where he found himself becoming the go-to guitarist for many of his songwriting peers.

Since then, Luan has played as a session musician for a range of artists including MACEY, Lévyne, Sam V, and Chris Bates; playing everything from pop to indie to hip hop. With a penchant for electronic pop production, he’s spent the past couple of years honing his recording skills in the studio; first working as an assistant engineer, and now working as an engineer at Parachute.

As a self-described ‘jack of all trades’ Luan is passionate about all things music.
