Parachute Music is a not-for-profit organisation that supports the people behind the music - songwriters, producers and artists who are building careers in New Zealand’s music industry.
We operate a sustainable model with over half our funding coming from donations and grants. Your donation will directly enable more creatives to access life-changing support, studio time, and a place to call home.

We provide:

  • Professional studio spaces at heavily subsidised rates.

  • A community where music creatives can thrive and build lasting connections; reducing isolation.

  • Mental health support and wellbeing resources tailored to the unique challenges of music professionals.

  • Studio residencies and mentoring for high-potential creatives establishing themselves in the industry.

PARACHUTE FRIENDS

Parachute Friends is a major way you can support us, by signing up to give a monthly donation. Give a little, or give a lot; Parachute Friends help us keep the music playing.

If you sign up to donate $20 or more each month during September, we’ll give you a free Parachute Music tee of your choice, as a way to say thanks.

PATRONS

LEGACY GIVING

We have also set up an option for people to support Parachute by leaving a bequest in their will. Wills that are prepared via this link have all fees waived, with the option of making a contribution to Parachute.

  • Yes, Parachute Music has charitable status, and all donations are tax deductible; meaning you’ll be eligible to claim back a third of your donation from the IRD.

  • Donations are processed through a secure and trusted platform, and you will be sent a tax receipt automatically at the end of the financial year.

  • If you have any questions or wish to cancel a recurring donation, you can do so at any time by emailing us.
