Whether bringing together 25,000 people for Parachute Festival, or helping local artists make quality albums, Parachute Music is dedicated to connecting people to Jesus via music. This mission is made possible by the special people who financially and prayerfully back us. Since 1997, individuals and families have contributed to our charitable trust by joining the Supporters membership programme, and we now have around 2,500 Supporters on board. Parachute relies on these contributions as a constant source of funds to keep the ministry going.
The income we receive from Supporters goes towards developing Festival and initiatives like our Noise musician training events. It also enables us to promote New Zealand songs and artists internationally, and cover the costs of running the organisation (including staff and administration). Supporters are part of the Parachute family and receive a number of exclusive benefits, outlined below. They also receive regular updates from us through our Supporter Magazine and Supporter E-news, and they enjoy special hospitality at Parachute events. SUPPORTER MEMBERSHIPS Supporters are sent a donation receipt for 50% of their annual contribution each April. The other 50% is treated as a membership subscription as a result of the benefits they get, and cannot be receipted. Click here to join. Supporters may choose to forfeit the benefits outlined below to have 100% of their contributions treated as a charitable donation.
