Back in 2010, Plunket recorded a Christmas album, recruiting Hollie Smith and a team of some of New Zealand’s finest singers for a chillingly beautiful rendition of ‘O Holy Night’.
Old footage has surfaced from the studio session; showing Smith recording the song with vocal legends Annie Crummer, Tama Waipara, Mana Farrell, Kiri Eriwata and Cherie Mathieson. She nonchalantly steps up to the mic, messes up her first take and has a laugh, before launching into the epic performance.
If this doesn’t get you into the Christmas spirit, nothing will. Those are some piiiipes.
Smith released her latest album ‘Water Or Gold’ in 2016, and recently performed at Christmas In The Park events in both Christchurch and Auckland.
