VNZMA Finalists Announced

The finalists for this year's Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards are in, and it looks like Lorde has some competition.

As expected, she stands to clean up, with nods for Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Best Group, People's Choice and Best Solo Artist.

She's not the only one dominating the shortlist, which is shaping up to be one of the tightest races around.

After having their first Tui given to them by Aaradhna last year,  breakout Onehunga crew SWIDT will have five shots in 2017, nominated for Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Best Group, People's Choice and Best Solo

On the back of her beautiful gothic folk album 'Party', Aldous Harding is up for four Tuis, and David Dallas, Kings and Nadia Reid are up for three.

Lorde, SWIDT, Theia, Teeks and Devilskin will also be playing live at the event - hopefully Lorde brings a big backpack.
