The Weeknd Gets An 80’s Makeover

YouTube user ‘Saint-Laurent’ has been making incredible 80’s remixes of pop songs, and his latest effort is a bit of a showstopper.

The anonymous beatmaker remixed The Weeknd’s collaboration with Daft Punk, ‘Feel It Coming’, and the result is a super slowed down jam that gives you all the feels.

With Gospel chords, 808 snares, and even a pan-flute solo near the end; it’s a total reimagining of the pop banger.

He’s even created a VHS looking music video to accompany it, using footage from the original video clip completely glitched and re-coloured.

YouTube commenters have jumped on board with the song’s nostalgia; with one user writing, “I remember slow dancing to this song with my crush at prom in the middle of the school gym back in the summer of '84...What a memory."

Another added, "When this song came out I was at a McDonald's drive through back in 1987...I remember the cashier screaming because this was her jam....Today we are happily married with 3 children."
