Tauranga/Auckland group SHAKES have released the music video from their latest single, ‘Waiting On A Feeling’; featuring a colourful host of buzzy characters.
With a wild mash of face paint, kaftans, expensive looking sunglasses and some sort of Baz Luhrman Romeo & Juliet inspired beach mission; it’s a fun video that pays homage to vintage sun drenched movies. Directed by Cam Neate, it also features one of Parachute’s newest staff members (we see you, Sarah!)
SHAKES have been solidly releasing sunshiney indie-pop jams over the past year. This track definitely draws inspiration from Leisure’s laid back grooves, and we can hear a little bit of The Bee Gee’s in there too.
Nice one, guys.
