Robinson: ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’

We don’t know much about new artist Robinson; but we do know that she’s got a massive pop tune on her hands, and she’s started getting heaps of attention for it.

The singer has just released her debut single, ‘Don’t You Forget About Me’, which is a huge and emotional tune that immediately hits hard with its huge melody, sombre strings and soft bell sounds.

Her vocals are confident and sit loudly in the mix, meaning you catch all the feels. It’s an understated, vulnerable pop tune in the vein of Jessie Ware and Låpsley.

So here’s what we do know: the young singer has been signed to Auckland music manager Ashley Page (who has Broods and Joel Little on his books, among others) and by the looks of her social media posts she’s been recording music over in the UK.

UK blog Popjustice have even said that the tune, “marks the arrival of a major pop talent and an extraordinary songwriter.” So we’ll be watching this space, folks.
