Auckland singer Miloux has been in the game for a couple of years now, but her latest single ‘Paris’ is her slickest offering yet.
Released back in April, the track has recently been picked up by Canadian blog HillyDilly where it’s started charting. HillyDilly writer Cole Ryan says, “This bass-heavy piece of electro-pop shows Miloux at her very best. Her songwriting, production, and vocals are all spot-on, and there's no denying the talent and creativity on the piece overall.”
‘Paris’ is off Miloux’s second EP (the aptly named ‘EP 2’), which was recorded at Auckland’s Red Bull studios with engineer Ben Lawson.
With perfectly minimal production, the tune showcases her slightly jazzy vocals and quick flitting melodies. Singing in a chromatic key, Miloux bounces around between major and minor melodies, giving it a playful and experimental vibe.
