Holly Arrowsmith: ‘Love Together’

Holly Arrowsmith has released the first single from her upcoming second album, and it’s an ode to being on the road with the one you love.

‘Love Together’ has strong imagery; with lyrics about misty mountains, whispering trees, and travelling with no money. Arrowsmith even sings about the way people must talk about her, resolving it by knowing that she has love in her life.

The songwriter, who was born in New Mexico and then grew up in our very own Arrowtown, has a slight American drawl when she sings, and softly draws you into her lilting style of folk. ‘Love Together’ is simple, honest, and perfectly put together.

Arrowsmith managed to raise almost $25,000 in her latest Kickstarter campaign, which is going towards the recording of her second album. The album’s been produced by Tom Lynch and Ben Edwards in the South Island, and it’s due for release next year.
