Fazerdaze has just dropped a new single off her forthcoming album ‘Morningside’, which is due out on May 5 via Flying Nun.
‘Lucky Girl’ is an upbeat number that features rhythmic guitars, lush vocals and sounds that make you feel nostalgic for the 90s.
It’s immediately catchier and more accessible than her earlier stuff, and we can hear this going straight to high rotation at bFM.
Amelia (aka Fazerdaze) explains, “I wrote and recorded this track while I was living in a room that had no windows – except for a skylight which I eventually had to block out to stop my room from overheating. It was so dark in there and I slowly began to feel sad, like the walls were enclosing on me – that’s how I got the idea for the first lyric.”
