NZ on Air has released stats from the past five years of their Making Tracks music funding scheme.
The government agency has funded 574 Kiwi artists, and paid for a staggering 1,218 Kiwi songs to be recorded.
Singer-songwriter Ezra Vine’s tune ‘Celeste’ was named as the most streamed song that NZ On Air has funded over the past five years - with 37 million plays and counting. We salute you, Ezra.
Vine is currently hard at work on his next EP, which is due for release in early 2017.
