Even in the absence of water, there's something in the water over in Iceland. The unofficial global capital of leftfield pop music, the country has a knack for producing slick, danceable tunes with a quirky edge.
Synth-pop duo East Of My Youth are no exception, following in the footsteps of Lykke Li and Anna of the North with their cinematic, glitchy pop tune 'Broke Glass'.
A partnership between composer Herdís Stefánsdóttir and Thelma Marín Jónsdóttir, the track puts soaring melodies on top of sparkling clockwork tick-tocks and toy drum beats. The video for the track features a synchronised swimming team out of their element, taking their choreography to an empty pool.
