LA based Kiwi producer BOYBOY has released his latest offering, and it’s a tongue-in-cheek declaration of self love.

Singing softly, “I’d do anything for me, and something for you”, he goes on to deliver the cutting blow, “all I want is me and me forever”.

‘ME’ was written with BOYBOY’s Sam McCarthy, along with his regular contributors Chelsea Jade, Leroy Clampitt and Justyn Pilbrow (all fellow ex-pats living in the U.S.).

Since releasing his debut song last year, BOYBOY’s racked up over 2.5 million Spotify streams, and got some kudos from a Pitchfork review which said, “BoyBoy is an artist on the cusp of a breakthrough.”

McCarthy explained his thematic leanings in a recent interview, saying, “I realized that every song I wrote, especially if the subject was about another person, was in truth about myself. Then the idea of writing an affectionate song to myself bubbled up also. However, to be clear, the affection was not narcissistic, but more about having care and tenderness for yourself.
